This press-fit terminal, which is inserted into a through hole provided in a circuit board and is conductively connected to the through hole while elastically contacting the inner wall of the through hole, is provided with: a tip section (12) positioned on the tip side in the insertion direction into the through hole; a base section (14) positioned on the opposite side to the tip section (12); and a pair of elastic contact pieces (13, 13) facing each other with an opening (16) therebetween, and positioned between and connecting the tip section (12) and the base section (14), wherein stress distributing sections (17), which protrude in the same direction as the direction in which the elastic contact pieces (13) outwardly extend, are provided to at least one among a region including border portions between the tip section (12) and the elastic contact pieces (13), and a region including border portions between the base section (14) and the elastic contact pieces (13).
