Abstract:
A press-forming mold 13 according to the present invention forms a press-formed article 1 having a top plate section 3, which has an uneven side portion 11, in which a protruding side portion 11a protruding outward in the in-plane direction and a recessed side portion 11b recessed inward in the in-plane direction are connected by a connecting side portion 11c, and a flange section 5, which is continuous with the uneven side portion 11 in the top plate section 3, the press-forming mold being provided with an upper mold 15 and lower mold 17, and a lower pad 21 and upper pad 23 which work together with the upper mold 15 and lower mold 17 to clamp a blank 19. During an initial forming period the flange section 5 is formed in the protruding side portion 11a and a twisted section 25 that is continuous with the flange section 5 and twisted toward the recessed side portion 11b is formed, and during a later forming period the target shape can be formed by forming the twisted section 25 on the flange section 5 and forming the flange section 5 on the recessed side portion 11b.
