Abstract:

This press molded article manufacturing method includes a heating process, a conveying process, and a pressing process. The conveying process includes: a step for supporting and lifting up a lower surface of both ends of a first heated workpiece with claws of a pair of first arms; a step for supporting and lifting up a lower surface of both ends of a second heated workpiece with claws of a pair of second arms; a step for conveying, in a direction normal to a plate surface, the first heated workpiece having the lower surface of both ends thereof supported by the claws of the pair of first arms and the second heated workpiece having the lower surface of both ends thereof supported by the claws of the pair of second arms, the heated workpieces being conveyed in a mutually overlapping state; a step for driving the pair of first arms to lower the first heated workpiece to a pressing position of a presser; and a step for driving the pair of second arms to lower the second heated workpiece to the pressing position of the presser.
