Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a press system and a method for controlling a press system with which it is possible to automatically set the timing for coordinating a press device and a feeding device. In the present invention, a leveller feeder has a feed roll that transports a coil material to a press device in a closed state of holding the coil material, and that enters an open state in which the coil material is released when processing by the press device starts. The press device has a sensor for sensing the load F for the processing, a pilot pin that fits into a hole opening in the coil material and with which positioning for the processing is performed, and a controller for controlling the leveller feeder and the press device so as to perform processing in coordination. The controller establishes the start timing Tos (position Ps+L) for release, in which the feed roll is switched from a closed state to an open state, on the basis of the result of sensing by the sensor and the length L of the pilot pin.
