Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve a press working method capable of enhancing the accuracy of performing processing on a workpiece. [Solution] Provided is a method in which is used a press machine 1 provided with: a frame 2 having a reference axis C; a lower die 6 supported by the frame 2; an upper die 7 supported by the frame 2 so as to be capable of moving closer or farther to/from the lower die 6 in the axial direction of the reference axis C; and a hydraulic cylinder 5 that generates force in the moving direction of the upper die 7 closer to the lower die 6, wherein while a workpiece 11 having a rotationally symmetric shape about the center axis of the workpiece is disposed between the lower die 6 and the upper die 7, the hydraulic cylinder 5 moves the upper die 7 to be closer to the lower die 6, thereby performing press working on the workpiece 11 between the lower die 6 and the upper die 7. The frame 2, the lower die 6, and the upper die 7 each have a shape rotationally symmetric about the reference axis C, and the press working is performed on the workpiece 11 while the center axis of the workpiece is made to coincide with the reference axis C.
