Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressure detection device (100) and a method which are for detecting the internal pressure of cavities in a die (50) of an injection molding device (1) and determining the quality of products molded in the die (50). The pressure detection device (100) is provided with: a plurality of pressure sensors (S1-Sn) that respectively detect the internal pressures of a plurality of cavities (CT) in the die (50) of the injection molding device (1); and an information processing device (90) that receives the detected internal pressures and determines the quality of the product molded in each cavity (CT) on the basis of a value relating to variation in time taken to reach peak pressure. In the method according to the present invention, the internal pressures of a plurality of cavities (CT) in the die (50) of the injection molding device (1), as detected by a plurality of pressure sensors (S1-Sn), are received, a value relating to variation in time taken to reach peak pressure is calculated, the value related to the variation is compared to a predetermined threshold, and the quality of a product is determined.
