Abstract:
Provided is a printing cassette that restrains cassette rotation accompanying drive-power input and that also allows downscaling. The present disclosure relates to a printing cassette that is attachable/detachable to/from a printing device main unit. The printing cassette is provided with a case in which are housed: a printing tape roll; an input gear rotatable about the rotational axial center parallel to a first direction; and an output gear. The case includes an opening wall that defines a head opening through which a head retaining part is inserted, and a first protuberance that projects from the opening wall into the head opening interior and that opposes the head retaining part along a second direction in a state where the printing cassette is fitted into the printing device main unit. In a state where the printing cassette is fitted into the printing device main unit: the input gear engages with a drive shaft in a position different from the first protuberance, along a third direction; the output gear engages with a platen gear; and a virtual plane containing the rotational axis of the platen gear and the rotational axis of the output gear intersects the second direction.
