Abstract:
Provided is a printing device in which there is an increased degree of freedom for arranging the position at which driving power is input to the cassette and the position at which driving power is output to outside of the cassette. The present disclosure is a printing device comprising a printing cassette, a platen roller, and a drive source. The printing cassette comprises: an input unit to which driving power is input; an output unit that rotates around an axis of rotation parallel to a first direction, and transmits driving power to the platen roller; a transmission mechanism that transmits, to the output unit, the driving power input to the input unit; and a case inside which is disposed at least a portion of a printing tape, at least a portion of the input unit, at least a portion of the output unit, and at least a portion of the transmission mechanism. A portion of the output unit is located outside of the case. In a projection view in which a virtual plane perpendicular to the first direction is projected, the output unit is positioned inward of the outer edge of the case.
