Abstract:
Provided is a printing device which can suppress upsizing of a cassette, while avoiding interference between a printing head and a gear. The present disclosure relates to a printing device provided with a printing device body and a printing cassette attachable to and detachable from the printing device body. The printing cassette is provided with a printing tape, an output gear, and a case. The case has a conveyance part which defines a part of a head opening in which a printing head is arranged and in which the printing tape is conveyed, and has a restriction part which is arranged in the conveyance part and restricts movement in a width direction of the printing tape. The conveyance part has an opening exit at which the printing tape is discharged to the head opening. In a right-handed orthogonal coordinate system in which a discharging direction of the printing tape at the opening exit of the conveyance part is an X-axis forward direction and a direction from a rotation axis of the output gear to the opening exit along a direction perpendicular to both an X axis and the rotation axis of the output gear is a Y-axis forward direction, the output gear is positioned closer to a Z-axis forward direction than the restriction part.
