Abstract:
The present invention includes a transfer roller that has a roller surface formed from an elastic material capable of elastically deforming relative to a tablet, an ink supply unit that supplies an ink containing a coating material to the roller surface, a position adjusting unit that adjusts the relative position of the transfer roller to the tablet in the vertical direction, and a rotation drive unit that rotates the transfer roller, wherein the position adjusting unit adjusts the relative position by pushing the transfer roller against the tablet from above, and the rotation drive unit rotates the transfer roller that carries the ink on the roller surface to transfer the ink carried by the transfer roller on to the top surface of the tablet and at least a portion of the side surface of the tablet.
