Abstract:
A printing device 1 includes: a communication interface 81 communicable with a server 209; and a controller 80. The controller 80 is configured to perform: a communication status monitoring process to monitor a communication state with the server 209; a consumable determination process; and a transition process. The consumable determination process is to determine whether a particular consumable 4 is included in one or more of consumables 4 attached to the printing device 1, the particular consumable 4 being a consumable that meets a prescribed condition required for transition to a specific printing state where specific printing under a contract with the server 209 is allowed. The transition process is to execute the transition to the specific printing state in a case where: the communication state is determined to be communicable with the server 209; and the particular consumable 4 is determined to be included in the one or more of consumables 4.
