Abstract:

A printing machine capable of largely simplifying setup operations and reducing setup operation time by largely automating the setup operations. The printing machine comprises an inkpot member (2), an ink fountain roller (3), a band-like sheet (39) having an intermediate part applied to the inkpot member (2), a sheet moving device (40), a pair of edge-dams (53) sucked onto the inkpot member (2) through the sheet (39) and sucked onto the outer peripheral surface of the ink fountain roller (3) by a permanent magnet, an ink recovering tank (56), an ink scraping blade (57), a blade position selector device (58), an edge-dam changer (85), a plurality of ink containers (65) in which different types of inks are stored and which are stored in a container storage part (66), and an ink replenishing device (86) holding the specified one of the ink containers (65) and replenishing the ink in the container to an inkpot (1).
