Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a process for producing a wet master batch, said process enabling efficient solid-liquid separation and dehydration of a slurry that contains coagula having small particle diameters; and a solid-liquid separation dehydration apparatus for producing a wet master batch. A process for producing a wet master batch which includes a solid-liquid separation and dehydration step for conducting the solid-liquid separation and dehydration of a slurry of coagula, said slurry of coagula being a slurry obtained by mixing a rubber latex with a carbon black slurry where carbon black is dispersed in water and subjecting the obtained mixture to coagulation, wherein the solid-liquid separation and dehydration step comprises subjecting the slurry of coagula to gravity filtration and vacuum filtration on a filtration filter (1) and then pressure -dehydrating the obtained intermediate product by pushing the intermediate product against the outer peripheral surface of a drum (8) by pressurizing means (9). A solid-liquid separation dehydration apparatus for producing a wet master batch, provided with a filtration filter (1), filtration units (5,7), a drum (8) and pressurizing units (9).
