Abstract:
A process for the production of polyester particles by conducting the following steps (1) to (3) successively with the proviso that the take-off speed ratio of polyester strand as defined by the following formula lies within the range of 1.5 to 100; polyester particles; a process for the production of polyester resin particles by subjecting the polyester particles to solid phase polycondensation; and polyester resin particles: the step (1) of ejecting a molten polyester having a melt viscosity of 0.5 to 50 Pa·s through a die hole into a strand; the step (2) of bringing the strand into contact with a fluid coolant and leading the strand with the coolant to a cutter; and the step (3) of cutting the strand with the cutter.
