Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF A VINYL POLYMER TERMINATED WITH A GROUP HAVING A POLYMERIZABLE CARBON-CARBON DOUBLE BOND
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/058830
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for the production of a vinyl polymer terminated with a group having a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond, which brings about improvement in the stability of quality of the polymer. The invention relates to a process for the production of a vinyl polymer terminated with a group having a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond which is characterized by adding a stabilized free radical as the polymerization inhibitor. The polymer obtained by the process is protected by virtue of the stabilized free radical added during the production from viscosity increase or gelation caused by polymerization of the terminal group having a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond.
