Abstract:
A laser beam emitted from a laser light source (101) passes, for example, through a fiber collimator (105) by propagating through an optical fiber (111), is formed into a desired beam diameter, thereafter, the beam shape thereof is controlled by an optical element (106), and thereafter, a processing target object (151) is irradiated. The optical element (106) is controlled by a controller (104), and subjects the laser beam to a beam shape and power density control. A lighting device (102) shines light on the dust produced during laser beam irradiation. A camera (103) images a region of the dust which is illuminated by the light. The controller (104) obtains the brightness of the light reflected by the dust and the scattering speed of the dust from the image captured by the camera (103), and controls the laser beam emitted by the laser light source (101).
