Abstract:
This product management method is executed in a product-ordering system that executes order processing for a product on the basis of measurement results for the weight of the product. The product management method includes: acquiring a purchase history in which a product type of a purchased product is recorded in association with a product weight of the purchased product and a weight increase value detected using a weight measurement device that measures the weight of a disposed product that has been disposed in a prescribed position; executing a comparison between the product weight included in the purchase history and the weight increase value; and on the basis of the comparison results, identifying, from among the product types included in the purchase history, the product type of the disposed product that was disposed in the prescribed position.
