Abstract:
Provided is a method that makes it possible to conveniently produce a thin polarizing plate that has a phase difference layer and a hard coat layer and that is less susceptible to curling and makes for a stock roll that has an excellent layer structure. This production method for a polarizing plate that has a phase difference layer and a hard coat layer involves preparing a polarizer, forming a phase difference layer on one side of the polarizer to obtain a polarizing plate that has a phase difference layer, and forming a hard coat layer on the polarizing plate that has a phase difference layer on the reverse side of the polarizer from the phase difference layer.
