Abstract:
In the present invention, a production system (10), in which a work module is disposed on a base (12) on which rails (20) are laid, is constructed using a module exchange assistance device (30). This device is configured to comprise: (a) a table (32) that is disposed to the side of the base; (b) a pallet (34) which is detachably mounted to the table, on the top surface of which auxiliary rails (36) are laid, and on which the work module can be placed in a state of riding on the auxiliary rails; (c) a pallet movement permitting mechanism that permits sliding movement of the pallet relative to the table; and (d) a pallet positioning mechanism that positions the pallet for which sliding movement has been permitted in order to enable movement of the work module between the rails of the base and the auxiliary rails. Since the work module can be conveyed with the pallet altogether, the work module can be easily disposed on the base without using a crane.
