Abstract:
Provided is a search system or the like with which it is possible to run an accurate search for an image captured of a hairstyle specified by a user. This search system comprises: a head region extraction unit that extracts a person's head region from a captured image; an orientation estimation unit that estimates the orientation of the person's face from the head region; a masked image creation unit that creates a masked image in which a hair region is set apart from the rest of the head region; a hairstyle identification unit that, from the masked image, identifies the person's hairstyle using results of the face orientation estimation; an operation reception unit that receives a user operation for specifying a hairstyle; and a captured image extraction unit that extracts a captured image on the basis of both the hairstyle specified by said operation and the identified hairstyle.
