A projection apparatus (1000), which comprises a projection screen (001) and an optical engine (2). The projection screen (001) comprises: a frame (100), a flexible carrier (200), a screen sheet (300) and a screen sheet protection structure (108). The frame (100) comprises a first frame (104), the first frame (104) has a first side (A) and a second side (B), the first side (A) is the side of the first frame (104) distant from the center of the projection screen (001), and the second side (B) is the side of the first frame (104) close to the center of the projection screen (001). The flexible carrier (200) is attached to the front surface of the first frame (104). The screen sheet (300) is connected to the surface of the flexible carrier (200) distant from the first frame (104). The screen sheet protection structure (108) is arranged on the first side (A) of the first frame (104); and the screen sheet protection structure (108) is configured to make an edge portion of the screen sheet (300) slide on the screen sheet protection structure (108) once the screen sheet (300) is thermally expanded. The optical engine (2) is configured to emit a light beam to the projection screen (001).
