Abstract:
This proportional solenoid valve control method, in which a valve opening degree is controlled by excitation of a proportional solenoid (28), comprises the steps of generating a drive current (id) that excites the proportional solenoid (28), reversing the polarity of the drive current (id) in a cycle faster than the movement of a valve body (18), and controlling the valve opening degree via the current level of the drive current (id). The desired valve opening degree is thereby achieved via the level of the drive current (id) while an alternating magnetic field is generated in the proportional solenoid (28) and the effects of residual magnetism are avoided.
