Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an alloy for medical use that comprises Pt, Co, Cr, Ni and Mo. This alloy comprises 10-30 atm% inclusive of Pt, 20-31 atm% inclusive of Cr, 5-24 atm% inclusive of Ni, 4-8 atm% inclusive of Mo and the balance consisting of Co and unavoidable impurities, wherein the ratio of the Ni content (CNi) to the Pt content (CPt), i.e., CNi/CPt is not more than 1.5. The present invention is applicable not only to stents such as flow diverter stents but also to various medical devices such as catheters, embolization coils and guide wires.
