A pulsator washing machine having a self-cleaning device, comprising an inner drum (13), a pulsator (14) that is provided within the inner drum (13), and a drive shaft (15) that is connected to the pulsator (14). The self-cleaning device comprises a cleaning chain (20) that is provided between the pulsator (14) and the inner drum (13), and one end of the cleaning chain (20) is connected to the drive shaft (15), such that the cleaning chain (20) may be driven to swing along the circumferential direction when the drive shaft (15) rotates, so as to clean a bottom portion of the pulsator (14) and a bottom portion of the inner drum (13). As the cleaning chain (20) is connected to the drive shaft (15), the described means of provision not only effectively avoids the problem in which the cleaning chain (20) freely drifts away when cleaning and thus affecting the cleaning effect, but may also effectively avoid the problem in which existing cleaning means may only clean one of the components, thereby greatly improving the cleaning effect of the self-cleaning device.
