Abstract:
Provided is a pulse generation device which generates a pulse signal with a suitable waveform and achieves high isolation when not outputting a pulse signal. The pulse generation device (100), by means of an amplifier (102), amplifies a high frequency signal outputted from a high frequency oscillator (101) and outputs the result. The amplifier (102) amplifies and outputs the high frequency signal from the high frequency oscillator (101) only while drive power is being fed from a drive circuit (110). A waveform control unit (120) is used to control the waveform of the drive power fed from the drive circuit (110) to the amplifier (102) such that the high frequency signal amplified by the amplifier (102) becomes an ultrawideband pulse signal.
