Abstract:
A quick-response liquid crystal phase modulation device and a driving method therefor, and a 3D projection light modulation system. The liquid crystal phase modulation device comprises a first optical self-compensated bending liquid crystal device (2) and a second optical self-compensated bending liquid crystal device (3) which are attached in sequence, and a drive circuit (4) connected to the first optical self-compensated bending liquid crystal device (2) and the second optical self-compensated bending liquid crystal device (3). When a high voltage (VH) is converted into a low voltage (VL), the drive circuit (4) drives the liquid crystal phase modulation device by a reverse voltage opposite to the specified high voltage (VH), and a zero voltage; a discharge speed of materials on two sides of a liquid crystal layer is increased, so that a liquid crystal molecule is relaxed from a field-induced nematic phase state to a bent state in an accelerated mode, thereby shortening an optical response duration of the liquid crystal molecule and increasing an optical response speed. When the liquid crystal modulation device is applied to digital 3D movie projection, image crosstalk can be reduced, and the brightness of a screen can be increased.
