Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to enable smart lighting that has already been installed to be utilized as an optical base station, without any modification, and to perform connection/authentication control of RF communication using optical signals emitted from the optical base station. A radio communication system according to the present disclosure is provided with at least one radio base station for performing radio communication with a terminal, a base station control device for collecting radio base station information from each radio base station, using the collected radio base station information to determine a radio base station that is to perform radio communication with the terminal, and transmitting an optical ID corresponding to the determined radio base station, and at least one optical base station for receiving the optical ID from the base station control device, and using an optical signal to transmit the received optical ID to the terminal, wherein the radio base station determined by the base station control device performs radio communication with the terminal that has received the optical ID.
