Abstract:
This rail-guided carrier system (1) comprises a detected portion (70, 84, 85) which is arranged in front of a carrier (6) positioned at a predetermined position (P1) in a travel direction (D1) of the carrier (6) and is detected by an obstacle detection portion (54A, 34A, 34B) and a controller (90) which determines the state of the obstacle detection portion (54A, 34A, 34B) on the basis of a detection result for the detected portion (70, 84, 85) by the obstacle detection portion (54A, 34A, 34B). The detected portion (70, 84, 85) is provided for movement so as to advance to a travel space of the carrier (6) upon inspection for checking the operation of the obstacle detection portion (54A, 34A, 34B) and so as to retract from the travel space of the carrier (6) when the carrier (6) passes through the advanced position of the detected portion (70, 84, 85).
