Abstract:
If it is difficult to implement facility design in which all combination conditions relating to train operation, such as addition of extra trains in response to an accident or a breakdown, for example, are defined in advance, rail potential may exceed an upper limit during schedule recovery. Thus, a rail potential calculation device (1) includes a storage unit for storing required information, and arithmetic units (31, 32) for performing calculation processing and determination processing. The storage unit retains facility information (22) pertaining to railway power facilities and rails, train information (23) pertaining to correspondence between the location and the power consumption of a train running between stations, schedule information of the train, and information about an upper limit (21) of rail potential and an allowable duration with respect to the time during which the upper limit is exceeded. The arithmetic units calculate the location and the power consumption of the train at a set time using the train information and the schedule information (24), calculate the rail potential using calculation results of the location and the power consumption of the train and the facility information, and determine, on the basis of a calculation result (41) of the rail potential, whether the time during which the upper limit of the rail potential is exceeded exceeds the allowable duration.
