Abstract:
A range switching device (1) which comprises a range-switching disk (2b), an engaging groove (2c), a pin (5a) and an arm (5b), a motor (12) for driving the range-switching disk (2b), engaging groove (2c), pin (5a) and arm (5b), a speed reduction gear mechanism (46) for decelerating the drive power of the motor (12) to transmit it to the range-switching disk (2b), engaging groove (2c), pin (5a) and arm (5b), and an electromagnetic clutch (30) for intermittently establishing the state of power transmission between the motor (12) and the speed reduction gear mechanism (46). A disk (31) to be attracted by the electromagnetic clutch (30) is connected to the power input shaft (38) of the speed reduction gear mechanism (46).
