Abstract:
Provided are a rare earth aluminum alloy powder suitable for additive manufacturing and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises: heating and melting an aluminum ingot into molten aluminum; adding required alloy elements to the molten aluminum to form an alloy liquid, making the alloy elements reach the following preset components in percentage by weight: 1.00% to 10.00% of Ce, 0.05% to 8.00% of Mg, 0.10% to 7.50% of Y, 0.10% to 2.50% of Zr, less than 0.1% of impurities and the balance being aluminum; guiding out the alloy liquid through a flow guide pipe, impacting the alloy liquid with high-pressure air flow, atomizing the alloy liquid, forming fine liquid drops under the action of surface tension, and solidifying same into spherical alloy powder; and collecting the spherical alloy powder in a vacuum collector, screening and drying same to obtain the rare earth aluminum alloy powder. The present invention has the characteristics of a higher degree of sphericity, less satellite powder and hollow powder, low oxygen content, high apparent density, etc., and can meet the use requirements of different printing working conditions of additive manufacturing.
