A reactive thermally conductive insulating double sided adhesive tape and a preparation method therefor. The method comprises the following steps: taking raw materials of the following weight percentages: 5%-30% of an epoxy resin, 3%-50% of a film-forming agent, 0.2%-3.0% of a curing agent, 0.01%-2.0% of an accelerator, 30%-90% of a thermally conductive powder, adding said raw materials into a planetary mixer to mix uniformly, and defoaming the mixture in vacuum to obtain a reactive thermally conductive adhesive; pressing the reactive thermally conductive adhesive and a PET release film together into a thermally conductive adhesive film by means of a calender; and bonding the thermally conductive adhesive film to both surfaces of a polyimide thin film by means of an attachment device, so as to obtain a reactive thermally conductive insulating double sided adhesive tape. The resulting adhesive tape has high initial adhesion, and has higher mechanical strength and more excellent adhesion. Said thermally conductive adhesive is free of a solvent, overcomes the environmental contamination problem, avoids the problem of air holes that may be generated in a baking process, reduces energy consumption, and reduces the production cost.
