The present invention is a reactor (1), which is provided with: a combined body (10) configured by combining a coil member (2) and a magnetic core (3) with each other; and a case (4) having the combined body (10) housed therein. The case (4) is configured by combining with each other a side wall section (41), which surrounds the circumference of the combined body (10), and a bottom plate section (40), which is a member different from the side wall section (41). An insulating sheet (42) is disposed between the bottom plate section (40) of the case (4), and the coil member (2) (coils (2a, 2b)). In order to manufacture the reactor (1), the insulating sheet (42) is disposed on the bottom plate section (40), and the combined body (10) is disposed on the insulating sheet (42). Then, the combined body (10) is covered with the side wall section (41) from above, and the side wall section (41) and the bottom plate section (40) are engaged with each other.
