A recording control device, wherein an image acquisition unit 12 acquires video during photography of the surroundings of a vehicle. A recording control unit 20 sets a moving image file for dividing into prescribed units and recording the video during photography acquired by the image acquisition unit 12, and records the video during photography in the moving image file until the prescribed unit is filled. A display control unit 28 replays the video recorded in the moving image file. An operation reception unit 26 receives the operation input of a user. When the operation reception unit 26 receives from the user an instruction to replay an immediately preceding portion during recording of the video, the recording control unit 20 sets a following moving image file as the new recording destination of the video and changes the recording destination, and closes the preceding moving image file that was the recording destination up to that point, and the display control unit 28 replays from a time point a prescribed amount of time prior to the end of the preceding moving image file.
