Abstract:
The present invention proposes a recording device and a recording method with which it is possible to easily record information even using a magnetic recording medium having high coercive force. With this recording device 10, light L1 is caused to resonate using a condensing ring 12, thereby obtaining an enhanced magnetic field, and by combining the enhanced magnetic field when reversing the magnetization of a magnetic recording medium 1, it is possible to reduce the external magnetic field H0 required when reversing the magnetization. Accordingly, even with the magnetic recording medium 1 having high coercive force, the light is caused to resonate, thereby making it possible to easily record information using a low external magnetic field H0.
