Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of polymer synthesis, and specifically discloses a reducing agent monomer for preparing a styrene-acrylic emulsion by means of oxidation-reduction at a normal temperature, and a synthesis method therefor. The reducing agent monomer 4-(2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy)-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid is synthesized by using maleic anhydride and dimethylethanolamine as raw materials, wherein the raw materials for synthesis are cheap and easily available, the synthesis conditions are simple, and purification thereof is easy. The styrene-acrylic emulsion is synthesized by means of free radical microemulsion polymerization with the synthesized reducing agent monomer as a reducing agent, potassium peroxodisulfate as an oxidizing agent, water as a dispersion medium, sodium dodecyl sulfate as an emulsifier, and styrene, butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate as comonomers. The reaction system is simple and stable, and the reaction conditions are mild with no need to control the temperature. The reaction has a small impact on the environment and a low energy consumption, and is suitable for industrial large-scale production. The monomer for synthesizing the styrene-acrylic emulsion has a high conversion rate, and can obtain a styrene-acrylic emulsion with a high molecular weight and a branched structure at a normal temperature.
