Abstract:
This reduction gear 1 is provided with: an input rotation unit 2; an output rotation unit 3 arranged coaxially with the input rotation unit 2; a fixed member 5; a first rolling element engagement groove 13 which is formed in the input rotation unit 2 and which is provided along a circle of which the center of curvature O1 is eccentric from the rotation center X of the input rotation unit; a second rolling element engagement groove 16 which is formed in the fixed member 5 and which is provided along a wave curve that intersects alternately with a pitch circle of which the center of curvature is on a straight line that includes the rotation center X; multiple balls 4 which engage with the first rolling element engagement groove 13 and the second rolling element engagement groove 16 facing each other in the axial direction; and multiple pockets 17 which are formed in the output rotation unit 3 and which, between the first rolling element engagement groove 13 and the second rolling element engagement groove 16 in the axial direction, hold the multiple balls 4 in the circumferential direction in a state capable of moving in the radial direction.
