The present invention is characterized by comprising: a resolver body (4) including a rotor (42) having Nx (Nx is a natural number) salient poles, a stator (41) facing the rotor (42) and having Ns (Ns is an integer of 3 or more) teeth (411) arranged in the circumferential direction, and an exciting winding (R) wound around the teeth and a two-phase output winding (Sa, Sb); and exciting circuits (511, 512) that apply a voltage to the exciting winding (R), wherein the exciting winding and the two-phase output winding wound around Nsm (Nsm is an integer of 2 or more) teeth out of the Ns teeth are used as a main system (101), the exciting winding and the two-phase output winding wound around Ns-Nsm teeth are used as a sub system (102), and the number Nsm of teeth corresponding to the main system (101) is larger than the number Ns-Nsm of teeth corresponding to the sub system (102).
