Abstract:
The present application is applied to the technical field of wireless communications, and provided therein are a reference signal configuration updating method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving first indication information, the first indication information being used to indicate that the configuration of a reference signal has changed; and after receiving the first indication information, determining first configuration information failure in response to the first indication information, the first configuration information comprising the configuration of the reference signal. After a first duration of receiving the first indication information, acquiring second configuration information, the second configuration information comprising the configuration of the reference signal. After receiving the first indication information, by determining first configuration failure, and acquiring the second configuration information after the first duration of receiving the first indication information, it can be ensured that a terminal device stops using an outdated configuration when a network device sends the second configuration information, preventing the terminal device still using first configuration information to acquire an outdated configuration of a reference signal. Thus, the delay between a network device discovering that second configuration information requires sending and actually beginning to send the second configuration information is shortened.
