Abstract:
Provided is a refrigeration appliance (100) having a universal serial bus (USB) feature, comprising a box (120) defining chambers, at least two shelf mounting rails are disposed within the chambers, a shelf (170) having a USB port (172) can be mounted to the shelf rails (180A, 180B, 180C), each of which includes at least two bus bars (204, 208). One bus bar (204) is charged with a power charge, one bus bar (208) is charged with a ground charge, one bus bar (204) is charged with a positive data charge, and one bus bar (208) is charged with a negative data charge. When the shelf (170) is mounted to the rail (180), the bus bars (204, 208) are in electrical communication with the USB port (172) of the shelf (170) so that the data transmission can be routed between the USB port (172) and a controller (190) or a certain other processing device to perform USB data transmission to a cartridge (166) mounted in its door (128).
