Abstract:
A refrigeration cycle device (100), in which a refrigerant circulates in the following order: a compressor (1), a first heat exchanger (2), a receiver (3), a pipe (Pp), an expansion valve (4), and a second heat exchanger (5). An observation hole (Ho) is formed in the pipe (Pp). The receiver (3) stores a liquid refrigerant. The refrigeration cycle device (100) comprises a light transmissive member (6), a light detection device (7), and a control device (10). The light transmissive member (6) is disposed in the observation hole (Ho) so as to face the inner wall of the pipe (Pp). The light detection device (7) is disposed outside the pipe (Pp) so as to face the light transmissive member (6) and outputs information relating to the light from inside the pipe (Pp). The control device (10) detects the state of the refrigerant from the receiver (3) using the information relating to the light output from the light detection device (7). If the refrigerant from the receiver (3) is in a gas-liquid two-phase state, the control device (10) reports a shortage of the refrigerant.
