Abstract:
One embodiment of this refrigeration cycle device comprises a temperature detection device attached to a heat exchanger, and a control unit that causes the refrigeration cycle device to execute a defrosting operation for removing frost produced on the heat exchanger on the basis of the temperature acquired by the temperature detection device. The heat exchanger has a heat exchanger body having a plurality of heat transfer pipes disposed so as to be lined up in a prescribed direction, and first and second openings that are linked to the heat exchanger body. During the defrosting operation, a refrigerant that has flowed into the heat exchanger from the first opening flows into the plurality of heat transfer pipes, and the refrigerant that has flowed into the plurality of heat transfer pipes flows out of the heat exchanger from the second opening. The first opening is positioned further toward a prescribed-direction first side than is the second opening. The temperature detection device is attached to a prescribed-direction second-side end section of the heat exchanger body. During the defrosting operation, the control unit ends the defrosting operation if the temperature acquired by the temperature detection device is at or above a prescribed temperature.
