Abstract:
Disclosed are a refrigerator and a control method thereof, the refrigerator comprising: a refrigerator body, a water pipe assembly, a heating assembly and a controller, wherein a refrigerating compartment is provided in the refrigerator body; the heating assembly is provided in the refrigerating compartment for auxiliary heating of the water pipe assembly to prevent the water pipe assembly from freezing; the water pipe assembly is provided in the refrigerating compartment; and the controller is configured to: detect the current ambient temperature, match a corresponding heating mode according to the refrigerating and freezing temperature under the ambient temperature, and control the heating assembly to use a corresponding intermittent heating mode in different heating modes. The present disclosure solves the problem that a water pipe or a water box in the refrigerator easily freezes when the ambient temperature is low, ensures that the water pipe is always kept at 0°C, and avoids freezing.
