Abstract:
A refrigerator (100) comprises a refrigerant circuit that includes a compressor (1), an oil separator (5), a condenser (2), a first throttle device (3), and an evaporator (4), the refrigerant circuit being such that a refrigerant circulates through the compressor, the oil separator, the condenser, the first throttle device, and the evaporator in the stated order. The compressor (1) includes a suction opening and a discharge opening, and is lubricated by freezer oil. The oil separator (5) is provided so as to separate the freezer oil and refrigerant that are discharged from the discharge opening of the compressor. The condenser (2) is provided so that heat exchange is performed between the refrigerant flowing through the condenser and air flowing along a first direction (A). The oil separator (5) is disposed upstream from the compressor, which operates as a source of heat in the refrigerant circuit, in the first direction.
