Abstract:
A refrigeration cycle of this refrigerator is branched, on the downstream side of a first condenser, into a cooling passage in which a refrigerant is supplied to an evaporator in order to generate cold air and a defrosting passage in which the refrigerant is heated and the heated refrigerant is supplied to the evaporator in order to carry out defrosting. The refrigerant flowing through the cooling passage is supplied to the evaporator upon having passed through a second condenser. The refrigerant flowing through the defrosting passage is heated through heat exchange with a passage by which the refrigerant is supplied to the first condenser from a compressor. Refrigerant that has warmed the evaporator, which is thermally coupled with the defrosting passage, and that has radiated heat within the defrosting passage returns to the compressor after having evaporated in a warming-side evaporator provided on the downstream side of the evaporator, and the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing during switching to the defrosting passage is adjusted.
