Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a metal/fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composite that has an excellent appearance even when used as an automobile outer panel and that does not deform even after a coating baking step. [Solution] The metal/FRP composite according to the present invention has a laminate structure of three or more layers comprising at least a metal layer, a fiber-reinforced resin material layer in which a reinforcing fiber material is held within a layer configured from a matrix resin, and a resin layer positioned between the metal layer and the fiber-reinforced resin material layer. The resin layer is configured from a normal-temperature-hardening adhesive or being configured from a prescribed resin and a normal-temperature-hardening adhesive. The elasticity E of the resin layer is greater than 0.1 MPa and no more than 1000 MPa, and the thickness of the resin layer is at least 0.005 times, but less than 7.500 times, the thickness of the metal layer.
