Abstract:
This reinforcement-bar binding robot comprises a reinforcement-bar binding unit, a transport unit that transports the reinforcement-bar binding unit, and a control unit that controls the operation of the transport unit. The transport unit comprises a longitudinal direction movement mechanism which can move the reinforcement-bar binding robot in the front-rear direction, and a first three-dimensional distance sensor which outputs first point group data in which a three-dimensional position of a subject in a first field of view is represented by point groups. The control unit is configured to be able to execute: a first reinforcement-bar extracting process for extracting, from the point groups included in the first point group data, a point group for which the up/down direction position thereof is within a predetermined reinforcement-bar depth range; and an intersecting position identifying process for identifying a position at which a primary reinforcement-bar and a secondary reinforcement-bar intersect, on the basis of the point group extracted by the first reinforcement-bar extracting process.
