Abstract:
An intensity measurement unit 38 of this relay attack determination device is provided to a portable machine 3, and measures reception intensities of request signals S1, S2, each for multiple times, received from an on-vehicle machine 1. A comparison unit 44 compares the request signals S1, S2 with each other by using average values V1, V2 of the reception intensities measured by the intensity measurement unit 38. A variation calculation unit 42 calculates variation in the reception intensities measured multiple times by the intensity measurement unit 38 for the request signal S2. The comparison unit 44 determines a relay attack irrespective of the result of the comparison if variation in the reception intensities in the request signal S2 exceeds a threshold value TH1 indicating a communication abnormality.
