Abstract:
Provided is a relay attack preventing device with which it is possible to effectively obstruct unauthorized unlocking by a relay attack without having to seal a smart key tightly in a container, etc., and which is of a simple structure and can be used without modification in an existing system. This relay attack preventing device (10, 20) is used in a smart key (1) that receives communication radio waves of a request signal in a keyless entry system, the relay attack preventing device comprising a coil (2) composed of an electroconductive material, an oscillator (3) electrically connected to the coil, an electromagnetic field (G) formed around the coil by supplying an AC current having a frequency that is the same as or close to that of the communication radio waves of the request signal from the oscillator to the coil, and holding members (4, 7) for holding the smart key in the electromagnetic field.
