Abstract:
Provided are a release agent for polymer compounds, an adhesive material, and a method for using an adhesive material, wherein the release agent can be used for releasing as many types of polymer compounds as possible, and the burden required for releasing treatments when releasing polymer compounds adhered to adherends can be reduced. The release agent for polymer compounds is used for releasing polymer compounds adhered to adherends, and contains a photoresponsive liquid crystal material having a phase structure which is reversibly transformed between an isotropic phase and a liquid crystal phase through photoisomerization based on irradiation with light of different wavelengths. The photoresponsive liquid crystal material is used in a state of being previously contained under an isotropic phase structure in a polymer compound when the polymer compound is adhered to an adherend, and the phase structure of the photoresponsive liquid crystal material can be transformed from an isotropic phase to a liquid crystal phase through photoisomerization based on irradiation with light.
